"It's absolutely untrue," Zayed sounds shocked as I confront him with the news, "Yes, I won't deny that I've made certain suggestions to the makers, but that's for the betterment of the film. That shouldn't be misconstrued as interference from my end."

Zayed continues, "I share a great rapport with the producer. And when I saw the rush print of the film and offered suggestions, he agreed on a number of issues. If something needs to be added or subtracted from a film, it's always for the betterment of the film. Why should it be mistaken for sitting on a high horse kinda attitude?"

Deepak Shivdasani, who is currently shooting JULIE [Neha Dhupia, Sanjay Kapoor, Priyanshu and Yash Tonk] in Delhi, sounded equally shocked when asked to comment on the issue. "This is news to me," he tells me, "I really don't know anything about it. Rao-saab [the producer] would be the best person to comment on it."
